A fire destroyed the 300,000 SF Fannie May Chocolates warehouse and distribution center on Thanksgiving Day in 2014. Nobody was hurt. The only thing that survived the fire was the "Fannie May Strong" banner. It was pulled from the rubble and hangs on the wall to this day as a reminder of how employees pulled together after the disaster. The warehouse was re-opened in 2016, just 16 months after the fire. The new warehouse supplies all 85 Fannie May stores.
